Wildcard's new roster secures PrizePicks NA Revival #1

The international roster got some cash in their pocket.

Complexity's PrizePicks North America Revival series kicked off over the weekend. The series is set to run for the next twelve months and will feature one event per month as organized by Jason Lake's company.

The $60,000 annual series saw it's first event this July with teams like BOSS, Nouns, Elevate, and NRG invited to compete in the playoffs alongside Party Astronauts and Perserverance with two open qualifier teams.

Despite being the event winners, Wildcard was not initially invited to the playoffs and had to slog its way through the open qualifiers to get its chance. The lineup were joined by LAG as they were given the bottom two seeds - facing the toughest opponents of the competition in the first round.

The new international roster struggled as they scraped by Party Astronauts 2-1 and Elevate 2-1 to reach the final. Meanwhile, NRG proved that they were not the same squad from the beginning of the year as they dispatched BOSS and Nouns 2-0, respectively to meet Wildcard in the grand final.

It only went two maps, but the series overall was highly competitive as Wildcard barely secured Ancient 16-13 after a barn-burning overtime and then took NRG's pick of Anubis 13-11 despite a resurgent American side in the second half.

Wildcard and NRG will likely be meeting again, but both of the new-look squads in NA are already showing their colleagues that they should not be doubted.
