Verum disband while organization ceases operations
Verum have elected to go their separate ways and disband their roster, with the squad unfortunately breaking up after only five maps with Nelvin "nooz" Gonzalez. Additionally, Michael "Millz" Millsaps told Dust2.us that the Verum organization itself has ceased operations.
Millz told Dust2.us that the squad had been in a state of flux for the past week as multiple members of the lineup were considering leaving the team due to changes in their personal circumstances. In the best possible scenario, Millz said that Verum would be looking for two new players in the short-term while a third player would be leaving the team after Season 40.
This difficult situation was only compounded by the team struggling to find adequate replacements, with Millz being frustrated that in his opinion Verum were consistently overlooked by Premier players despite their strong results in ESEA Premier Season 38. With their core essentially broken and Verum unable to rebuild to an acceptable level, the team join Limitless as the second squad of Season 39 to fold.
As previously mentioned, Verum have also allegedly ceased operations due to running out of investment. Millz told Dust2.us that if the roster elected to stick together, they would've still been looking for a new home as they were unhappy with the level of support the organization was offering. In particular, he pointed to the team's social media infrequently promoting the team and overall poor communication from management. Dust2.us attempted to reach out to Verum to comment on these claims but did not receive a reply by the time of publication.
Verum were:
- Michael "Millz" Millsaps
- Scott "Scottiyio" Baker
- Brian "chew" Mao
- Darius "PNDLM" Bandali
- Nelvin "nooz" Gonzalez
The former quartet are now set to search for new squads ahead of the start of week three of ESEA Premier Season 39.
