Java Gaming Cafe LAN starts this weekend

For the MLK weekend, Java Gaming Cafe will be hosting a $3,000 LAN event at their venue in Carrollton, Texas. With 12 teams taking part, the tournament will be split over two days, with the group stage happening on Saturday and the playoffs following on Sunday.

The format will feature three groups of four, followed by a group made up of the 3rd placing teams from each group. Each of these groups will be best-of-one round robins, with the top two teams from each going to the playoffs on the Sunday. The first round of playoffs will also be best-of-one, before starting the best-of-three in the semifinals.

The tournament will feature some heavy hitters in mix teams, most notably the inclusion of SoaR's Jack "xCeeD" Holiman and Michael "Grim" Wince, freshly back from winning a promotion to ESL Pro League, lining up alongside BlackOut's Jake "kaboose" McDonald. F1-RACECAR-PEEK'S Alex "Lanhero" Suarez also joins up on another mix roster. The rest of the field is filled up with players ranging from ESEA Main to locals having a go.

The groups are seeded based on ESEA rankings, and are as follows:
