Levitate dissolves after trio looks elsewhere
Dust2.us has confirmed that Levitate's lineup has disbanded due to no longer having a two-man core to hold onto the slot with. The breakup of Levitate comes after numerous players planned to leave the team to pursue new projects.
The saga began on September 30th when Levitate parted ways with Drew "Drewtheshrew" Lamb after failing to make ESEA Premier Season 38 Relegation. They would later replace him with Matthew "tatm" Munro on October 13th, seemingly stabilizing their roster for ESEA Advanced Season 39.
Unfortunately, in the past 48 hours the squad has rapidly unwound with Devin "AtomiK" Ferrell and Saad "Pluto" Siraj announcing their departures from squad. Sources close to the situation tell Dust2.us that while AtomiK and Pluto haven't settled on a new home yet, they are set to try out for Third Impact, who themselves were recently relegated to Advanced.
Meanwhile, Damian "droid" Boulware told Dust2.us that he and J. "WOOHOO" J. are looking to play together in the former Big Chillin slot with Matt "dvl" Buechel as a stand-in should they be able to assemble a roster before the start of the season. With the trio of players exiting Levitate, this leaves Penguin as the sole remaining member of the former squad, meaning the slot cannot be held solely by him and tatm.
Prior to breaking up, Levitate consisted of:
- Devin "AtomiK" Ferrell
- Saad "Pluto" Siraj
- "Penguin"
- J. "WOOHOO" J.
- Matthew "tatm" Munro
- Thomas "klank" Mennemeyer (Coach)
With the team dissolving, the players will have to settle their plans for Season 39 in short order as the first default day is right around the corner on October 22nd.
