Official: Wildcard part ways with Grizz, bench SLIGHT
Wildcard have officially announced the departure of Adam "Grizz" Golden while also benching Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan. The move marks the end of Grizz's short tenure with Wildcard after a month on trial, while SLIGHT has been moved to the bench after more than a year with the organization.
The moves follow a report from Dust2.us and Dust2.se that the Texas-based organization is pursuing two Swedish players, Love "phzy" Smidebrant and Tim "susp" Ångström. The move would see Wildcard become an international roster as only Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and Josh "JBa" Barutt remain the only two North Americans remaining in the lineup. Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek of course represents South Africa, making the full lineup comprised of two Europeans, two North Americans, and one African.
The organization will remain located in North America and can represent the region in the Americas RMR in accordance with Valve's rules regarding the home base of the lineup. Additionally, because the squad no longer has a regional majority, they can pick which region to represent with the two North Americans, two Europeans, and one African player who would belong to the Asian region for the RMR process.
Wildcard is set to consist of:
-
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz
-
Josh "JBa" Barutt
-
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
-
Love "phzy" Smidebrant
-
Tim "susp" Ångström
-
João "horvy" Horvath (Coach)
