Complexity set to face ENCE for Jönköping playoff spot
ENCE have beaten MIBR, setting up a BO1 series against Complexity to see who advances in first place from Group B. Complexity had beaten Alliance earlier today in a 13-2 Dust2 battle, taking an early lead with confidence.
While Complexity and ENCE are fighting for the first playoff spot, the MIBR will have to fight for their lives in a BO3 series against Sweden's home team Alliance.
The match between the Europeans and Brazilians took place on Nuke, with MIBR starting on the T-side. It was not a masterclass, but Breno "brnz4n" Poletto and co. were off to a solid start, reaching the half with a 6-6 tie despite starting 2-5 down.
Things only went down from there. ENCE began to gain momentum in the second half and the European squad never looked back. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander reminded everyone why he is one of the best IGLs ever to play Counter-Strike with a flawless 7-0 T-side half. The spotlight also shined on Paavo "podi" Heiskanen, who has just been called up from ENCE Academy. gla1ve's calling propelled ENCE to a 13-6 win over MIBR.
ENCE will now face Complexity later today for first place in Group B and an early playoff berth. The BO1 match starts at 11:05AM. After the winners' match, MIBR and Alliance will meet in the lower bracket BO3 elimination series.
