Coldest Riding win Fragadelphia 15: East Falls over Big Chillin
Last weekend's East Falls LAN punched two more tickets to Fragadelphia 15, this time for ESEA Premier sides Coldest Riding and Big Chillin. MetaHashCoin eventually defeated Code Red in the third place match to secure a $250 consolation prize.
Day two of play opened with Coldest Riding grabbing a slim 8-7 lead on Mirage thanks to an 18 frag effort from Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan. The super sub would go on to finish with a flourish, reaching 30 kills with the final kill of the opening map. The dominance continued on Nuke as Coldest Riding claimed a 13-2 first half, but idiots made things interesting by running their score all the way to double digits before Coldest Riding closed them out.
Big Chillin had no issues dispatching Code Red in the second semifinal with convincing wins on Mirage and Dust2. The Premier side tallied a 16-9 victory on the former and notched an even more convincing 16-6 win on the latter. Brendan "Melloh" Mello closed out Mirage with a crisp 1v2 on the A site, first winning a duel in Jungle and quickly turning to dispatch the B player on Cat through Connector.
Coldest Riding came out swinging against Big Chillin in the grand final and grabbed a 9-6 halftime lead on Mirage. They found another gear in the second half and put together a flawless defensive effort, highlighted by Connor "Jermaine" B.'s ace that snagged map point for the newly promoted ESEA Premier side. Jermaine mowed down four Big Chillin players with the M4A4 from Balcony, then finishing the five piece with the USP on Ramp. His teammates rode that high to victory and quickly secured their sixteenth round just a minute later.
Coldest Riding's momentum carried over onto Vertigo, where they jumped out to a 10-0 lead before their opponents could even get on the board. Altogether, Big Chillin conceded twenty straight rounds between round thirteen of Mirage and round eleven on Vertigo. The Boston-based organization mounted a valiant comeback attempt but ultimately fell 16-10 and conceded the 2-0 series sweep.

Three smaller LANs leading up to Fragadelphia 15 remain, with two spots in September's main event available for the grand finalists from each. This weekend's iteration of the LAN series is underway in Brentwood, MO and the LANs in Denver, CO and Oceanside, CA will take place from the 21-22nd and 28-29th, respectively.
