Fragadelphia East Falls reaches playoffs
LAN play returned to North America yesterday, with 16 teams battling it out in Pennsylvania for a shot at winning travel support and entry to Fragadelphia 15. The teams were divided into four groups of four, each of which were played out in round-robin, best-of-one fashion.
In Group A, Premier side Big Chillin easily overcame their competition, only surrendering eight rounds across three maps en route to a flawless 3-0 group. They were trailed by recent Advanced promotees Redux Rising, and Main team Revel.
Group B played out in more surprising fashion, as idiots (80% of MetaHashCoin) emerged on top of the group after authoritative wins over Verum and Thinkers. Verum, utilizing Dylan "SATURN" Finch in place of Darius "PNDLM" Bandali, also tied against Main side Richie's Food Crew, ultimately finishing third in the group.
Coldest Riding, on the other hand, fared much better with Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan standing-in for Landon "landmaz" Lawrence, and topped their group 3-0. They were followed by Out-Sourced Tech Support at 2-1, while both Destructive Penguins and Planet Express finished 0-2-1.
Group D came down to round differential, as both Code Red and Turkish imports YeniCherry finished 2-0-1. The former teams' victories were more definitive, however, sending them through to the playoffs. The group was rounded out by Bear's Babes and newly minted Main side Ohio Meat Wagon, who went winless.

The action resumed at 10 AM EDT this morning on Fragadelphia's Twitch channel, with the grand finals and third place decider to follow. The team that emerges victorious will walk away with up to $2,000 in travel support for Fragadelphia 15, while the top two teams will receive entry to the main event.
