TSM Shimmer exit ESL Impact Finals
The recently signed Shimmer have unfortunately exited ESL Impact Finals Season 5 in quick fashion after losing their first match 13-7 to Fluxo Demons and now 2-0 to the Polish Natus Vincere Javelins. The nearly entire American crew faced tough opposition from the start, but ultimately struggled to get a win over the line here in Dallas.
Against Fluxo the squad had a difficult time on Ancient as their CT-side could not hold back the overwhelming offense from the Brazilian side. While the Americans remained close in the rounds, they could only manage two rounds.
Their offense was more potent despite losing the opening pistol. TSM Shimmer would ultimately manage five rounds to keep it competitive, but Fluxo finally prevailed to win 13-7.
Their next game was against one of Europe's superteams in Natus Vincere. It was always going to tough for TSM Shimmer, but the way they lost was unfortunately brutal. The American side couldn't find any consistency throughout the series. Natus Vincere dispatched their opponents 13-4 on TSM Shimmer's pick of Anubis and then did themselves one better on Ancient as they strolled to a 2-0 win thanks to a 13-3 map victory.
TSM Shimmer will head back from the LAN with more experience under their belt which they can use for the next season of Impact.
