What to expect from M80 v. HEROIC

The first day wasn't the best for North American teams and fans, as Complexity lost against Liquid and were sent home by MOUZ quickly after, and M80 unsurprisingly lost against FaZe with a little help from the old economy system that gifted the Europeans a crucial AK-47 when they shouldn't have to money for it. Thanks, ESL.

It's a new day, though, and M80 are looking to upset HEROIC to stay alive in the tournament, but the road ahead only gets harder as NAVI or Spirit will be next if M80 win. If not, M80 are out.

North America's last hope

The game against FaZe wasn't as bad as the 13-6 scoreline shows. There were some incredibly close rounds that didn't go M80's way, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa couldn't get things going and, well, FaZe are FaZe. The chances should be better today, as the North Americans had all night to prepare for HEROIC and to fix the flaws FaZe exposed.

Underwhelming HEROIC

It's safe to say the HEROIC squad isn't expecting much from IEM Dallas, having the newly-acquired Abdul "degster" Gasanov miss the event due to visa problems and bringing back Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi, who had been benched. The opener against Virtus.pro went badly, with a 13-4 loss and now they have to play the second-best North American team on its home soil.
