Bad News Bears set to field Shakezullah in ESEA Spring Cash Cup 6
Dust2.us has confirmed with Bad News Bears that the team will be fielding Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman in place of Nick "alter" Jackson due to the latter being unavailable this weekend.
Shakezullah recently left Triumph after a 15-month-long tenure with the organization, spanning multiple lineups. His departure seemed to be the death nail for Triumph as shortly after leaving the team, Ian "motm" Hardy and Brendan "Bwills" Williams also announced their departure from Triumph. Despite this, Shakezullah and Bwills briefly returned alongside Tyler "tweiss" Weiss to best QcClan in ESEA Premier Season 37 although Dust2.us knows the team's status is still up in the air for the rest of the season.
Bad News Bears recently exited cs_summit 8 after a 2-0 loss to EXTREMUM, earning 950 RMR points in the process. The team now have nothing on their calendar until the start of ESL Pro League Season 14 on August 16th. Bad News bears are also on track to earn a world-rankings invite to IEM Cologne 2021, with the invites set to be confirmed on May 31st.
For ESEA Spring Cash Cup 6, Bad News Bears will field:
- Jonathan "Jonji" Carey
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Michael "Swisher" Schmid
- Gabe "Spongey" Greiner
- Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman (Stand-in)
- Nathan "madcow" Retterath (Coach)
ESEA Spring Cup 6 is set tomorrow at 2PM EDT. Should Shakezullah and Bad News Bears make their way through the bracket, they will face off against paiN or RBG, the event's two high-seed invites.
