walker and brett leave Third Impact for Veloz
The most impactful surprise roster move of ESEA Premier Season 37 thus far came to fruition earlier today as Walker "walker" Harris and Brett "brett" Rhein have departed the currently undefeated Third Impact roster to join one of their other undefeated Group A rivals, Veloz. According to the updated starting roster on Veloz's ESEA page they will be replacing Cody "Domorin" Lutzel and Aidan "Aidan" Higgason.
Third Impact opened their Season 37 campaign with decisive wins over PDHM and Mythic, something that shouldn't have come as a huge surprise given the recent changes in their first two opponents' rosters. But this past week Third Impact claimed a decisive 2-0 upset over RBG, which thrust them into playoff contention in Group A and cemented them as a team to watch. Noah "insane" Eheart told Dust2.us that the new Veloz roster is close outside of the server and are considering a move into a team house together.
insane has nothing but well wishes for his former teammates:
Because of how much they're committing to this, I truly hope it works out for them and that they don't regret doing this. I still love those guys and wish them the best, they've just left us in an awful position at a bad time. I'm confident we'll be able to pick up the pieces and build a strong team back up again, we're not going anywhere, and I'm never going to give up on myself or my team no matter how bleak things are.
Veloz also opened their season with a dominant win over PDHM, but had to fight tooth and nail for their 2-1 win over Mythic. They are still yet to face paiN, oNe, Party Astronauts, or RBG, the preseason favorites to advance to the ESEA Premier Season 37 playoffs from Group A.
Dust2.us spoke to walker about the move and he affirmed what insane had previously mentioned about this new Veloz lineup moving in together down in Texas. He noted that Aidan was already planning to step down and that the team cut Domorin to make room for both himself and brett. walker lamented about the timing, but felt that there was a narrow window for his future roommates to become his teammates as well.
walker reciprocated the well wishes for Third Impact's remaining players:
I loved playing for Third Impact and all of the homies over there, we did some great things and made a lot of progress, but the long-term vision with this new team is a lot more promising for Brett and myself. No doubt in my mind they're going to pick up 2 strong players and be a super good team, and I can't wait to be competing at that same level against them soon. The worst part for me is the fact that this was so sudden and I feel terrible for my ex-teammates.
The two rosters are now:

Third Impact's next scheduled match is not until they face Veloz in two weeks, giving them plenty of time to try out and practice with two new players. Veloz on the other hand are scheduled to play this Tuesday at 9PM EDT against CNSRD.
