EliGE and Grim power Team USA to semifinals
In one of the most bizarre, comfortably matches for an American viewer, Complexity have breezed through Virtus.pro in a 2-0 domination. Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski powered the American squad to victory thanks to his stunning performances on Ancient to steal the Russian's map pick while Michael "Grim" Wince proved to be highly effective on their pick of Vertigo as they claimed a stunning 10 rounds on their T-side.
Complexity got things started off on the right foot as they quickly jumped out to a 4-1 lead, but soon fell behind as VP found their footing. The half might have ended with the Americans only claiming five rounds on the defense, but it was the offense where Complexity truly shined. Complexity responded by getting four rounds after the halftime break and would win the map 13-9 to take the series advantage.
Vertigo was even more absurd as Complexity did not give Virtus.pro any room to breath. The Americas came out of the gate swinging and despite losing the third and fourth rounds, always looked in control of the map. Grim powered his squad to an utter beatdown as he went 18-6 with a 113.3 ADR in the first half with Complexity claiming ten T-sided rounds. The second half was more of the same as the squad crushed VP's attack and claimed a 13-3 map win.
Complexity, with one of their most comfortable wins of the entire event, will head to the semifinals where they await the winner of MOUZ v. G2.
