Switchy makes a return to coaching with Big Chillin
William "Switchy" Locher, who previously coached Third Impact, announced that he is making a return to CS:GO yesterday, this time as the coach of Big Chillin.
Big Chillin finished third in ESEA Advanced Season 36, then promptly tore through the ESEA Premier Season 36 Relegation bracket to secure a Premier slot for Season 37 with a 2-0 win over PDHM and a 2-1 win over Levitate, both of whom would eventually secure their own spots in Premier from the lower bracket.
Switchy had this to say about the move:
[Since] leaving Third Impact [when] they made Premier, Big Chillin was the first team I trialed with where it felt natural. I knew that they would not just go through the motions and would put in just as much effort as I do, having watched the team for a few seasons now. A team's atmosphere is the biggest condition on me joining, and it felt like I meshed with the team the moment I hopped in for my trial.
I could tell that the entire roster is extremely dedicated and willing to learn, the mechanical talent is there as well. I feel confident organizing the puzzle pieces for the team to be successful as the problems are presented to us in-game, no matter who we are facing moving forward.
Big Chillin are now:
- Matt "dvl" Buechel
- Michael "Munk" Klotz
- Blake "Elk" Swinson
- Brendan "Melloh" Mello
- Devin "Xzen" Barber
- William "Switchy" Locher (Coach)
Big Chillin will make their ESEA Premier debut tomorrow night at 9PM EDT against Secret Club.
