Elevate continue winning ways | ECL S47 Roundup Day 11

While we've been away covering the Major and Fragelphia's CS/DO event, ECL has been going on the backburner, with a hefty amount of matches playing out. Yesterday, five BO2s played out with even more coming along soon.

NRG 2-0 MIGHT

NRG, with star rifler Timothy "autimatic" Ta now in rotation, have climbed up the standings thanks to this victory over MIGHT. The duo of the Major winner and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte put up big numbers on both maps, thoroughly stomping out MIGHT 13-5 on Mirage then 13-1 on Overpass.

Limitless 1-1 Mythic

A split scoreline, both teams were evenly matched across Ancient and Anubis, resulting in a good game. The streamer with the most hair on his face, Erik "fl0m" Flom topped the boards on Ancient, while Limitless' Nikolaos "PoseidoNN" Antoniou ran away with over a 2 KD on Anubis securing at least one map for the squad.

Elevate 2-0 BOSS

In the most high profile match of that day, Elevate came out on top over two maps against one of the best teams in North America, BOSS. Folks not in tune with ECL will remember both teams for their performances at the Copenhagen Major Americas RMR. This time, it was Elevate to come out on top in a sweaty affair.

A split half on Ancient just barely gave Elevate the first map win with the closest margin imaginable, 13-11. On Vertigo, Elevate narrowly had a lead at the end of their CT-side, but an equal and opposite reaction out of BOSS sent us to the only overtime of the day. However, BOSS were unable to secure a round in OT, with Elevate taking the map 16-12 and both maps of the matchup.

Wildcard 1-1 LAG

LAG continued their ECL tear, taking a map off of one of NA's finest squads. A hard-fought Nuke went LAG's way despite only four T-side rounds at the half. It was an incredible effort from Luka "based" S. to propel the team to a map victory.

Anubis went more of the NA team's way, with Wildcard hurling to an early lead, securing eight at the half, and giving LAG zero T-side rounds to win in dominant fashion.

Nouns 2-0 Party Astronauts

Another high quality game, this one was certainly a spectacle. On Nuke, Party Astronauts' defense held firm taking seven rounds at the half. However, once the tides were turned, it seemed that Nouns' fortifications held even more firm. The Partynauts could only muster two T-side rounds, acquiescing the map to Nouns.

On Inferno, Nouns showed off their attacking prowess, securing eight at the half. The lead proved too much to overcome as rounds flipping both ways ended in Nouns favor at thirteen to the Partynauts' eight.

It must be noted that William "RUSH" Wierzba has seemingly avoided any rust in his return to pro play, posting a 1.00 Rating or high in both maps against one of ECL's top teams.
