Rebirth add XotiC, wrath, and wippie as phantom and curry look towards VALORANT; Inseaniac steps down
Rebirth's lineup has undergone a number of changes, with Sean "Inseaniac" Morrison, Ali "phantom" Sachs, and Rahul "curry" Nemani exiting the starting lineup. Inseaniac has left the team outright while phantom and curry have become substitutes as they look to commit to VALORANT, with curry currently trialing with an undisclosed team.
In their place, Zack "XotiC" Elshani has officially rejoined Rebirth while Collin "wrath" McSweegan and Maxim "wippie" Shepelev have filled the two remaining spots. This new roster resembles the one that claimed second place in DreamHack Open January albeit with wippie in place of curry.
The departure of phantom from the starting lineup comes as little surprise as he hasn't played for the team at all in 2021. Likewise outside of an appearance in ESEA Winter Cash Cup 3 Inseaniac hasn't been part of Rebirth's recent activities.
On the other hand, curry has been a consistent member of Rebirth in 2021, playing every single series with the exception of last night's game against ImPerium in ESEA Premier Season 36.
Of the new additions to the team, XotiC has the most exerience with the core of Rebirth, having been an on-and-off member of the team for the past year. wrath has been playing with the team since the beginning of Season 36, having been on the lookout for a new team since leaving Secret Club in November. wippie has played three series with the team thus far, making a return to activity after last playing with Swole Patrol in September.
With these changes, Rebirth are now:
- Sebastian "retchy" Tropiano
- Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly
- Zack "XotiC" Elshani
- Collin "wrath" McSweegan
- Maxim "wippie" Shepelev
- Daniel "tropiiical" Elshani (Substitute)
- Ali "phantom" Sachs (Substitute)
- Rahul "curry" Nemani (Substitute)
Rebirth's next match will see them take on Triumph on February 9th in ESEA Premier Season 36.
