dsr and dawn join Pittsburgh Knights VALORANT
The Pittsburgh Knights announced their roster for VALORANT this past Tuesday, the former Destined squad which features two CS:GO alumni, Terry "dsr" Rioux and Anthony "dawn" Hagopian.
dsr's crowning achievements in his CS:GO career were making the Americas Minors for the MLG Columbus Major and the ESL One: Cologne 2016 Major, with Obey Alliance and Kaliber, respectively. He also played several five seasons of MDL, was part of the last iteration of Selfless, and represented Canada at the WESG 2017 World Finals in Haikou, China.
dawn played five seasons of ESEA Advanced but only made playoffs once, as a member of the Vikings roster that featured current New England Whalers coach Joseph "Muenster" Lima. He was also a part of the MostlyG roster that nearly upset Mythic in the open qualifiers for DreamHack Open Valencia 2017.
Pittsburgh Knights VALORANT are now:
- Terry "dsr" Rioux
- Anthony "dawn" Hagopian
- Ronald "ronaldo" Mach
- Damion "XXiF" Cook
- Timothy "FrostyZK" Ly
In their first event with the organization, the roster fell just short of reaching UMG's First Strike qualifier after losses to Andbox and Dignitas, both of which also feature many CS:GO alumni. Their second attempt was more successful, as they qualified from the upper bracket yesterday with a win over Shiba.
As such, the team's next event will be the First Strike UMG Tournament, which will also feature Cloud9 Blue, Complexity, T1, TSM, Immortals, Gen.G, Luminosity, and NRG.
