IEM Dallas Closed Qualifier begins tonight

Liquid, Wildcard, Nouns, and BOSS will all face off tonight as only one will be able to join the international invites at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

Each of the aforementioned teams will be using the two-day IEM Dallas North American Closed Qualifier event as additional preparation for the upcoming PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR, which begins in just under a week. The four squads are some of the region's best representatives and have spent the better part of the last month specifically preparing for the event in Monterrey, Mexico.

With each squad improving so much, it makes this upcoming Closed Qualifier just a bit more interesting as fans can get a glimpse of what their favorite squad might look like going up against some of the best from South America.

Nouns, Wildcard, and Liquid are all coming back from an extended time in Europe where the three have been bootcamping in various parts of the continent. Wildcard certainly have the momentum heading into tonight after securing their invite the day before by taking down NRG for the final spot in the four-team event. Nouns, meanwhile, have not been too active besides their two week bootcamp stay at the Endpoint HQ in Sheffield, England.

Fans will also be interested to see how BOSS will perform, who are coming off an unimaginable tragedy in recent weeks following the passing of David "cynic" Polster. Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue took on the unenviable position of being his replacement in the starting roster as the team continues on. The team had earned an invite to the Closed Qualifier of this event.

Liquid are ones to watch in the event, with their much-hyped roster one of the biggest talking points in the Americas. Liquid fans will be hoping that Casper "cadiaN" Møller can lead this new superstar squad to success and to a spot in Dallas.

Matchups for the event have not yet been revealed, however the games will first begin at 05:30PM.
