Update: Rebirth add curry as XotiC and phantom leave team
Dust2.us has learned that Zack "XotiC" Elshani and Ali "phantom" Sachs have stepped down from Rebirth. To replace one of them, Rebirth have added former Triumph player Rahul "curry" Nemani to their ranks.
curry links up with Rebirth after recently standing in with the lineup during ESEA Autumn Cash Cup 2 and IEM Beijing North America Closed Qualifier.
While the team has not directly commented on their removal, XotiC and phantom were Rebirth's poorest performing players in ESEA MDL Season 35, putting up 0.96 and 0.99 ratings over nine and 18 maps respectively over the course of the season.
With curry, Rebirth are now:
- Sebastian "retchy" Tropiano
- Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak
- Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly
- Ali "phantom" Sachs*
- Rahul "curry" Nemani
- Sean "Inseaniac" Morrison (Substitute)
- Daniel "tropiiical" Elshani (Substitute)
It is currently unknown who Rebirth will be using for their fifth moving forward; they will need to decide ahead of their game against Evil Geniuses in IEM Beijing which is set to take place on November 12th at 4PM EST.
Update: Following the publication of this article, phantom reached out to Dust2.us to clarify that he is still a member of Rebirth and will be playing IEM Beijing, although he is weighing his options on whether to continue with the team after the event.
