vanity's side will face off against oNe in the grand final

Chaos, oNe to meet in ESEA Autumn Cash Cup 1 grand final

The two teams worked their way past Rugratz and Yeah en route to the championship round.

Chaos and oNe have advanced to the grand final of the first Autumn ESEA Cash Cup, prevailing over Rugratz and Yeah, respectively, in the semifinal round.

oNe were the first to assure themselves a spot in the grand final as they edged out a victory in three maps over their Brazilian compatriots, although it looked as if the series would swing the opposite way at the onset. Yeah opened up their pick of Mirage with an 11-4 offensive effort, a lead which they wasted little time in converting in the second half as they brought the map to a swift end, 16-6.

oNe bounced back on Dust2, bounding ahead to a 7-1 start before Yeah clawed back, mustering seven rounds by the break. The two teams continued to trade blows as the second half got underway, leading to an overtime affair where a strong showing from Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara helped oNe take things over the line 19-15 to force a Vertigo decider.

There, oNe took initial control, but once again found their lead slipping as Yeah remained resilient. A one round lead for b4rtiN and company was quickly left by the wayside as Yeah evened the score with a pistol win following the side swap, but once oNe had rifles in hand, the momentum of the map swung back in their favor as they quickly brought the series to a close with a 16-11 scoreline.

Chaos claimed the second spot after taking down Rugratz in their own semifinal matchup, opening the series with a strong showing on Rugratz's pick of Overpass. A 9-6 lead at the end of their defensive effort gave way to a stellar T-side, in which Erick "Xeppaa" Bach and Anthony "vanity" Malaspina quickly led their side to success with ten kills apiece to take the map 16-7.

Chaos' pick of Nuke was a closer affair as it was Rugratz who initially pulled ahead, powered by a strong individual showing from Koby "kobruh" Higgs. Although vanity's troops kept themselves in contention, trailing only by a single round at halftime, kobruh's performance proved too tall of a task for Chaos to overcome as Rugratz remained ahead for much of the remainder of the map to secure a 16-12 win.

Train, the decider, kicked off with Chaos in the lead, but Rugratz were able to string together a handful of rounds to muster six by the break. A pistol win and subsequent anti-eco and first gun round victories gave Rugratz the opportunity to even the score, but once Chaos got rolling, Rugratz were left playing catch-up as Xeppaa led the way to a 16-11 scoreline for his side to take the series.
