JDM announces return to competition
In a short tweet today, Josh "JDM" Marzano announced his intentions to return to competition in Counter-Strike 2 and is currently looking for a new team. JDM's decision comes after the 33-year-old AWPer told Dust2.us in an exclusive interview back in June that he wanted to dive into CS2 after its release.
Since then, JDM has been relatively slow to get back into the groove, mainly focusing on his Twitch stream albeit with a special emphasis on CS2 following the release of the game in September.
This decision may have been for the best as JDM admitted he hadn't played the game for any meaningful amount of time in some years, meaning a sudden return to competition would have likely gone poorly.
JDM's most recent esports engagement prior to his return to CS was in VALORANT as the coach of FaZe. In the CS world, his last team was Envy who JDM played with nearly five years ago.
Like his former Envy teammate Noah "Nifty" Francis, it will likely take JDM a number of months and some false starts to find his footing, however he will hopefully be able to find his niche in NA again as an elder statesman of the scene.
