The apex of Chet's coaching career was a fourth-place-finish at the StarLadder Berlin Major with the now-Evil Geniuses lineup

Chet announces retirement

The 100 Thieves organization has confirmed that Chet will be moving into VALORANT.

Chet "Chet" Singh has announced his retirement from CS:GO, leaving 100 Thieves after four months with the Australian lineup. While the coach has not commented on his plans for the future, the 100 Thieves organization wished him luck in VALORANT, all but confirming his move to Riot's FPS.

Chet's five-year-long coaching tenure saw the former analyst be one of the few coaches with experience as a player break into the top-tier of the North American scene. After modest successes with CLG and OpTic, Chet linked up with NRG, working with Damian "daps" Steele as the lineup grew into North America's second best team, claiming wins at IEM Shanghai 2018 and cs_summit 3 before attending their first Major at IEM Katowice 2019.

Later in 2019, the team would replace daps with Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and see a spike in form, finishing in four place at the StarLadder Berlin Major before moving to Evil Geniuses. With Evil Geniuses, Chet and co. claimed numerous titles and rose to world number one on HLTV's world rankings in early November.

In mid-2020, Chet exited Evil Geniuses, citing conflicts with stanislaw and Tarik "tarik" Celik. Shortly thereafter he linked up with 100 Thieves, finding modest success while being unable to find consistent results against the likes of FURIA, Evil Geniuses, and Liquid.

100 Thieves are now:

  • Australia Aaron "AZR" Ward
  • Australia Justin "jks" Savage
  •  Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
  • Australia Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
  • New Zealand Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai

Without Chet, 100 Thieves are set to play in the ESL One: New York RMR event on October 6th.
