Detonate and Tsunami announce merger

The two Atlanta-based organizations will join forces.

Atlanta-based esports organizations Detonate and Tsunami have announced a merger, seeing Detonate absorb Tsunami's staff and assets while bringing in their owner, Shilen Patel, as Detonate's Chief Operations Officer moving forward.

On a practical level, this means that the two organizations will be pooling resources and expertise to better set themselves apart amidst other grassroots NA organizations in the esports landscape. Or, as Detonate's owner, Levoski Brown, puts it, the goal of the merger is to:

Increase our overall business standing through new funding initiatives, defining our business strategy, and navigating our roadmap into the future for acquiring new partnership and sales agreements.

With this merger, Detonate are set to retain their Counter-Strike 2 team that is currently competing in ESEA Advanced, while Tsunami's Impact roster, Tsunami Sirens, are currently in negotiations to re-sign with Detonate under a new brand identity.
