Eros announce signing of Northern Forces in the midst of their deep bracket run
The lineup formerly known as Northern Forces was turning heads for the past couple of days as they managed to come within just a few rounds of winning the first IEM New York Open Qualifier. The Eros organization appear to have been among those impressed, as they made it known that they would be represented by the ESEA Advanced Season 35 side yesterday prior to their best-of-three against Rebirth.
Eros received a much higher seed this time around in today's open qualifier, resulting in a first-round bye. However, due to having a player missing from their roster and being past the check-in period, the team were unable to field a complete lineup and were forced to forfeit.
It is worth noting that Kevin "omniscient" Ma hasn't even been with the team for a full week yet — he formally joined their ESEA roster this past Saturday, as did coach Cory "shutout" Frymark.
Eros are officially:
- Alvin "Alvin" Bui
- Sam "Noxio" Goodwin
- Nicholas "hate" Young
- Brody "BeaKie" Kelly
- Kevin "omniscient" Ma
- Cory "shutout" Frymark (Coach)
After bowing out of today's final open qualifier for IEM New York, Eros have some time to help omniscient settle in and get ready for the start of ESEA Advanced Season 35 on August 31st. However, they will be in action before then as they are currently registered for Saturday's ESEA 5v5 Summer Cash Cup #1.
Editor's Note: A previous version of this article erroneously stated that Eros were eliminated by Dad D in the second qualifier.
