Nouns bring in Grand Slam winning coach
Nouns are gearing up for the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR North American Closed Qualifier as they announced the arrival of Eric "adreN" Hoag. The newest arrival to the team will split coaching responsibilities with Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen as the duo look to bolster a team that has been on the cusp breaking through to international success.
This will be adreN's first coaching stint since leaving Liquid in July 2022 after a disappointing first half of the year with international arrival Richard "shox" Papillon. While his second tenure with Liquid failed to restore the team to its greatness, adreN is well regarded as part of the 2019 Liquid squad that famously won the Intel Grand Slam Season 2 in a record 63 days which included wins at ESL One: Cologne 2019 and IEM Sydney.
adreN already has some experience with Nouns after the team won a European bootcamp with the American ahead of IEM Cologne as a result of winning the ESEA Cash Cup circuit. This will be the third recent addition to the Nouns team after adding both Paytyn "junior" Johnson and Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott from Evil Geniuses earlier this year, as the team hopes to not only improve upon their prior qualification to the RMR, but actually make it to the Major this time around.
