Able White, Dangerous Game, silhouette, and That's what she said qualify for DreamHack Showdown Summer
The DreamHack Showdown 2020 qualifier has come to a close, seeing a small group of six female teams battle for four spots in the main event alongside CLG Red and Dignitas fe.
Starting off with silhouette, the female team based around the former ANEW core managed to qualify to the main event without playing a single game as both teams on their side of the bracket were male teams and hence quickly disqualified. The same situation also took place on the opposite side of the bracket, with That's what she said, a squad featuring Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey receiving two forfeit wins against male teams to qualify to the main event.
As for the matches that actually happened, the night started off with Able White claiming a 2-1 win over big girls don't cry. big girls don't cry started the series off in the lead, winning Mirage 16-9 before Able White answered back with a dominant 16-5 win on Overpass. With the series tied up, Able White managed to best big girls don't cry 16-13 on Inferno thanks to a 27-21 K-D from Kimberly "Kimmy" Nelson.
The series between Dangerous Game and PUGSTARS was more one-sided as Dangerous Game claimed a 2-0 victory. Nuke was the closer of the two maps, as Dangerous Game narrowly won the map 16-14. Dust2 started off with Dangerous Game winning their CT-Side 8-7 before dominating on their T-side to win the map 16-9.
