TSM debut VALORANT roster with WARDELL, Subroza, hazed, reltuC, and Drone
TSM are the latest North American organization to venture into VALORANT by signing a team of former CS:GO professionals, an unsurprising move for an organization that already owns a franchise slot in the North American LCS for League of Legends.
Both Matthew "WARDELL" Yu and Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik were teammates on the Orgless squad that was linked to TSM on several occasions. While that never transpired in CS:GO, it has now occurred in a different esport entirely. They are also joined by former coach Taylor "tailored" Broomall.
James "hazed" Cobb and Stephen "reltuC" Cutler were longtime teammates on the CS:GO iteration of mouseSpaz, which eventually became CLG. hazed would go on to play for OpTic and Mythic, while reltuC would have stints in Splyce, Envy, and Peeker's Advantage.
The roster is rounded out by Taylor "Drone" Johnson, who was a teammate of reltuC's on several teams after the latter parted ways with CLG. He now finds himself back on a paid roster for the first time since March of last year.
TSM VALORANT are now:
- Matthew "WARDELL" Yu
- Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik
- James "hazed" Cobb
- Stephen "reltuC" Cutler
- Taylor "Drone" Johnson
- Taylor "tailored" Broomall (Coach)
Though it is early days for VALORANT's competitive scene, the quintet have shown promise, racking up over $10,000 in winnings in around a month's time.
