roca looks to headshot and such in VALORANT
Another player has joined the growing list of CS:GO semi-pros who are making the switch to VALORANT, with Daniel "roca" Gustaferri taking to Twitter to announce his move to the new shooter.
roca has long been a staple member of the CS:GO scene, playing in teams since early 2014. His most notable ventures include stints on Complexity, Echo Fox, and Splyce, a period of time where he was briefly heralded as one of North America's next big talents. Unfortunately, roca never lived up to the hype that had been set, spending his more recent years in MDL on teams such as MASSIVEimpact, Peeker's Advantage, Divine, and most recently, New England Whalers.
During his lengthy career, roca attended a number of events, including the first two seasons of ELEAGUE, iBUYPOWER Masters 2016, and many iterations of Fragadelphia. While his ELEAGUE appearances as a part of Echo Fox bore no fruit, he was able to take home a win at Fragadelphia 7, came in second at Northern Arena 2015, and took down the 2015 Liquid roster to win the online Alienware Area 51 Cup as a part of eLevate.
With roca's departure, New England Whalers are left with:
- Jonathan "djay" Dallal
- Brandon "BOOBIE" Roberts
- Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue
- Ramal "Rampage" Silva
- Linus "Limpone" Wecksell (Coach)
When contacted by Dust2.us, a member of the team confirmed roca's departure, and said that they were currently exploring their options for a fifth player. They will need to find a new member in short order as they are scheduled to play in two matches for ESEA MDL Season 34 this week, starting with a match against Buffdaddy's PayPal Team tomorrow at 8 PM EDT.
