Keep the Comms Up and Alcoholics Anonymous on eFire; through to playoffs

Group A of the eFire Master League has concluded, seeing Keep the Comms Up (formerly Station7) and Alcoholics Anonymous locking up playoff berths in the $10,000 event, while New England Whalers and District 7 have already bowed out.

Additionally, Under 21 will be taking the place of Rugratz in the Group B, after the latter team forfeited their initial match.

Brandon "BOOBIE" Roberts posted 23 kills and a 1.64 rating as New England Whalers managed what they couldn't in MDL against the Canadian side.

In the Group A Winners' match, BOOBIE did his best to carry Whalers with 30 kills and a 1.51 rating, but JonahP shouldered just a bit more for his side. The Canadian's 32 kills and 1.86 rating coupled with a 10-3 second half CT-side were enough to secure the event's first playoff berth.

Alcoholics Anonymous were able to bounce back from their opening loss to beat District 7 in a series where each team narrowly won their opponent's map pick. The decider however, was all Alcoholics Anonymous, with all five players amassing more frags than District 7's top fragger in the former of Michael "MkaeL" De Luca.

Alcoholics Anonymous completed their lower bracket run with a 2-0 sweep to join Keep the Comms Up in the playoffs. The Whalers managed to put up a fight on their own map pick of Inferno, but were completely dismantled on Mirage. Robert "robby" Brown and Matthew "nero" Seymour dropped 45 and 41 kills, respectively, over the series.
