IEM Sydney 2023 talent revealed
With IEM Sydney 2023 beginning on October 16th, ESL has announced the talent that will bring the event to life, both in the arena and in the broadcast. The tournament organizer has called upon more Australians than usual, to showcase local talent.
Tres "stunna" Saranthus is the only North American who will be part of the group of talent working on the first-ever Counter-Strike 2 tier one LAN. stunna will be doing his usual role as a desk host.
Out of the 15 talents, six are Australian, showing that although the scene is not thriving inside the servers, it is very much alive when it comes to casters. There are two Aussie casting duos, Geordie "Mac" McAleer and James "jimNeso" Cowan, and Jordan "Elfishguy" Mays and Mitchell "pilski" Pilipowski.
The other local caster is resident talent Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill, teaming up with his usual partner in crime, Alex "Machine" Richardson. The final casting duo is the British pair of James Bardolph and Alex "Hawka" Hawkins.
The arena hosting will be taken care of by Mitch "Conky" Concanen, the final Australian on the list. He will be supported by Latvian Anastasija "Heccu" Tolmačeva, taking care of sideline interviews and other arena content.
Joining stunna as host of the analyst desk is British Freya Spiers. They will be joined by the Serbian analyst duo of Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović and Janko "YNk" Paunovic, and Indian CS savior Sudhen "Bleh" Wahengbam.
