Who are NA's top rated players in the first week of CS2?

These players have really embraced Valve's Premier mode in the full release.

It has been one week since the full release of Counter-Strike 2, and players of all ranks have flocked to Valve's new title. Despite lacking the shine and polish of services like FACEIT, Valve's Premier mode has likewise proved ton be incredibly popular with professional and semi-professional players especially. As a result, a number of well-known names have climbed the ranks to be the best Premier players in NA and in the world in general. With CS2 having been out for a week, here is the list of the top five players in North America at the moment:

#1 United States Leonardo "Laski" Arroyo - 26,528 ELO

Leonrado "Laski" Arroyo is a former semi-professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player and streamer most known for his time with Mythic in 2019. After retiring from competing, Laski has continued to focus on his stream, with his focus of late being Counter-Strike 2, something that helped him to rise the ranks to claim the #1 spot in NA and the #2 spot globally at the time of publication.

#2 United States Josiah "JoJo" Jimenez - 25,889 ELO

Like many of the players on this list, Josiah "JoJo" Jimenez is someone who needs no introduction. The Louisiana native previously competed with Third Impact and Mythic before electing to focus on streaming, YouTube, and shitposting on X.

#3 United States Jake "Stewie2K" Yip (elitelikethat) - 24,100 ELO

The former ELEAGUE Boston Major winner has come back to Counter-Strike 2 in a big way. After a less than desirable end to his time on Evil Geniuses, Jake "Stewie2K" Yip spent a number of months away from the game, briefly flirting with VALORANT before dipping his toes back into the water with the release of Counter-Strike 2. Stewie2K is by far the highest profile member on this list, and the only with a Major trophy in his cabinet.

#4 United States Landon "landmaz" Lawrence - 24,094 ELO

Landon "landmaz" Lawrence joins the list in fourth place after previous competitive stints with Detonate and InControl Nation. The 22-year-old player is currently focusing on college, but it clearly hasn't detracted from grinding Premier as played 93 matches since the release of CS2.

#5 United States Nolan "Louie" Herges - 23,802 ELO

The final member of the top five, Nolan "Louie" Herges, is a former teammate of landmaz, and is known for his time with Detonate and on Noah "Nifty" Francis's 4ORMULA lineup. Louie has the least matches of any player in the top five, being quite efficient on his road to the top in season one.
