Community reacts to CS2 release
With Counter-Strike 2 finally fully released and available to everyone, it is time to say goodbye to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and welcome the new title from Valve.
Current and former players took the chance to thank CS:GO for what it meant to their lives, as well as a lot of personalities from the community, be it casters, coaches, streamers, and journalists.
Starting off with the one of the greatest players of all time, former Liquid AWPer, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev does not want to waste any time, despite being in the middle of ESL Pro League Season 18.
Another big name of CS:GO, Finn "karrigan" Andersen, took his time to check how many rounds and maps he played on LAN during Global Offensive's run, and thanked the title for everything.
Leaving Malta and coming back to North America, EG's rifler Jadan "HexT" Postma is doing what s1mple wants to do: play CS2. The Canadian believes the game feels much better after today's update.
Switching from pro players to desk talent, Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg left a thank you note to CS:GO while also leaving a message to Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and his fans.
Mike "DarfMike" Winnick, another talent(ed) man, was not a man of many words, contrary to his usual on-stage self, preferring to let the pictures do the talking.
Of course, we saved the best for last. Adam "piethrouer" Pinchok, in typical fashion posted a video that pretty much sums up how Valve and the community feel about CS:GO vanishing.
There are many more 'love letters' to CS:GO available to read on Twitter, from every corner of the world, from every kind of person that has picked up the game we all love and, sometimes, hate.
