How to play Counter-Strike 2
Counter-Strike 2 was released on September 27th and is a free-to-play game for everyone who has a Steam account. In order to play Counter-Strike 2, there are only a few steps needed before you are well on your way to playing online.
If you have already downloaded the previous iteration of the game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, there is nothing you need to do as the game will just need to update for you.

If you have not already, you need to download Steam and sign up for an account, which you can do here.

Next, you'll head into the Store where you will search for "Counter-Strike 2".

As you make your way to the page, you will want to scroll down to the green button which says "Play Game". Because we have the desktop application, this will begin the download process. You can select which Drive on your computer you want it installed to. It's best to play a game like Counter-Strike on an SSD.

Once the game has finished installing, you are ready to boot it up and get going! You will be able to play online, for free, against opponents. If that is not your style, you can play against the computer with bots or practice your aim.
