Liquid to miss Chinese tournament
Perfect World, Valve's Chinese partner, have announced that Liquid will unfortunately be missing the CS:GO Asia Championships 2023 due to visa issues. In Liquid's place, CAC have invited Swedish squad NIP, leaving the field with Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken as the sole representative from the western hemisphere.
The news of Liquid missing CAC 2023 is the latest tale of visas causing issues for Liquid, as Robert "Patsi" Isyanov nearly missed the start of ESL Pro League Season 18 due to his passport being tied up in getting a US visa. Interestingly, this time Patsi would have been the player with the easiest time getting a visa as Russian citizens can get a visa online or on arrival in China whereas the rest of the squad would need to apply the traditional way.
