COMPLEXITY THROUGH TO EPL PLAYOFFS
They've done it, something so no other American team has been able to accomplish so far at ESL Pro League Season 18, and that is qualify immediately by winning the first two games of groups. The qualification was monumental for this organization which has struggled internationally, but now looking like an entirely different beast as Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski has finally been bedded into the squad.
The first map was Complexity's pick of Anubis, but it wasn't necessarily the start that they were looking for. Cloud9 jumped ahead to a 6-0 lead thanks to a staunch CT-side, but the Americans began their comeback to finish the half only down three at 6-9. The second half was a completely different story as Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's tactics led the Americans to a staunch CT-side that propelled them to a massive comeback and a 16-13 map victory.
With Complexity winning their own pick, fans wouldn't have been mistaken to be nervous for Ancient, but they were quickly shown that they had nothing to be scared of. Complexity just jumped right out to a 7-1 lead before sliding slightly backwards and ending the half at 9-6. A demonstrably good CT-side gave the squad the momentum to power through on the T-side where they did not Cloud9 get into the game at all, taking seven straight rounds to win 16-6.
With this victory, Complexity have earned a berth into the ESL Pro League Season 18 Playoffs.
