Riot Squad set to add Grim
Former Triumph player Michael "Grim" Wince is set to join Riot Squad as the team's replacement for Pujan "FNS" Mehta, Dust2.us has learned. Additionally, Peter "ptr" Gurney announced that he will be taking over in-game leading duties for the team moving forward.
Grim has been set to join Riot Squad since Monday, when he and Jack "xCeeD" Holiman made their exit from Triumph. His addition to the team looks to be a done deal as he has already joined the team's ESEA roster and has paid up for the season.
As a result, Grim will reunite with former Dignitas teammates Peter "ptr" Gurney and Mitch "mitch" Semago, with the trio having played together for three months back in 2018.
This may not be the last change for Riot Squad as the organization's co-founder Anthony "zSwift" Saint was recently cut from the team's ESEA roster. At the time of publication, the organization have not responded to Dust2.us' request for comment except to say an announcement will be coming sometime next week.
As a result, for the moment Riot Squad is:
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Austin "crashies" Roberts
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Jonathan "Jonji" Carey
- Michael "Grim" Wince
Riot Squad and the rest of MDL are set to play their first matches of the season in short order after a lengthy delay. Additionally, the team have received invites to the ESL One Rio 2020 North America Closed Qualifier and the FLASHPOINT North America Closed Qualifier.
