FaZe bring in American to CS squad
In an unexpected announcement today, FaZe announced the signing of Hunter "Lucid" Tucker as their newest Counter-Strike analyst. Lucid will be replacing former analyst Viacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin who left the organization to become the head coach of Aurora. This is a continuation of FaZe's change in coaching staff, recently bringing in Filip "NEO" Kubski to take the place of the outgoing Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström.
Lucid is known to many in North America for his stints on FunPlus Phoenix, Liquid, and Party Astronauts. He was also part of daps' former Orgless squad which sought renewed investment in Counter-Strike. The project only lasted for a few months due to lack of interest from esports organizations.
The analyst joined FaZe and fellow North American Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken as the squad competed in the Gamers8 competition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
On Twitter, Lucid said, "Can't wait to see what we can accomplish on this next step in my journey. Excited to get to work with the new fellas".
FaZe have since lost to Virtus Pro in the single elimination Gamers8 tournament, meaning FaZe's next showing will likely be at ESL Pro League Season 18.
