MisteM will hope he can help Limitless bounce back into ECL

Former ATK duo reunite on Limitless

motm and MisteM are joined by Locke in rounding out the roster.

Limitless has housed some of North America's brightest young talent in recent seasons but underwent a revamp after a disappointing season in ESL Challenger League. Josh "JBa" Barutt has since found himself a spot on Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's new Forsaken project, who recently beat EG to make the IEM Sydney closed qualifier, and Adam "Grizz" Golden linked up with the former EG.Black on Party Astronauts. Limitless have managed to secure ambitious replacements with former ATK player Gareth "MisteM" Ries and former Cloud9 member Ian "motm" Hardy joining the team alongside the less experienced Xavier "Locke" Barth to round out the roster.

South African MisteM had been a part of ATK since 2020 and over the past few years helped the team develop into one of the best domestic teams with their achievements including securing them an ESL Pro League spot in season 17. MisteM's capture will be seen as a major coup for the team and the South African will bring a wealth of experience to the team as IGL. It was previously worried that he would need to return to South Africa, however MisteM tells Dust2.us that the organization is helping him to continue living in Canada.

MisteM will be linking up with his former ATK teammate in motm who shared the server with the South African on multiple occasions across the past few years. motm will also bring a lot of experience from the top level of the NA scene and strong firepower with the 23-year-old rifler being ECL Season 45's top rated player with a 1.36 rating, playing for Strife.

Limitless' last addition has already been playing with the team, making a number of HLTV appearances over the Summer in various Cups. Locke is the opposite end of the experience spectrum with just one season of ECL and being only 19 years old, however, he will find himself in the perfect environment to learn and grow with the additions of MisteM and motm.

Limitless will be hoping their new additions can propel them back into ECL and to make a more competitive run at the division if they get there. The teams completed roster will be:

  • United States Kamron "kmrn" Manii

  • United States Max "Makzwell" Sparrey

  • United States Xavier "Locke" Barth

  • United States Ian "motm" Hardy

  • Gareth "MisteM" Ries

  • United States Chris "Jeebs" DeSantis (Coach)

I think they have a good shot at making it back into ECL, but of course this is NA so there is a non-zero chance this team won't make it through the season intact.

Mistem will make a huge difference in these players growth. Can't wait to see how much they improve.
