Monstars bring back Swisher, add JMaldo as coach
Mike "Swisher" Schmid has rejoined Monstars on a permanent basis, Dust2.us has learned. The player was previously with the team for a little over a month back in August/September of last year, before jumping ship to Peeker's Advantage after the MDL Season 32 got underway.
Last season saw Monstars finish in ninth, just outside of the playoffs, while Peeker's Advantage ended with a dismal 3-12 record that saw them head to Relegation.
Additionally, the team have added Justin "JMaldo" Maldonado as a coach and backup. A name not likely to be known by most, the 1.6 player most notably attended IEM Season VI Global Challenge New York with Brazilian side semXorah as a stand-in.
Monstars are now:
- Ian "tex" Botsch
- Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
- Shawn "witmer" Taylor
- Ethan "ReckMONSTER" Serrano
- Mike "Swisher" Schmid
- Justin "JMaldo" Maldonado (Coach)
Monstars' first event with Swisher back in the fold is already in the books, as the team were eliminated from Mythic Cup 5 by Rugratz yesterday.
As mentioned many times previously, ESEA Season 33 is set to commence in just over a week, on January 13th.
