Envy bench ANDROID
Envy have started the year off with another roster change, announcing the benching of Canadian player Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor.
ANDORID joined the team back in March alongside Jacob "FugLy" Medina and Sam "s0m" Oh as Envy looked to completely overhaul their roster following a period of unremarkable results in 2018. This move was later followed up by the addition of South African AWPer Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek, who himself was later replaced by Ryan "ryann" Welsh a few months later.
Unfortunately for Envy, this new look roster failed to find meaningful results, with the team falling in last place at IEM Chicago 2019 and DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019. The team's only positive result was managing to retain their ESL Pro League spot after finding wins against FURIA and Swole Patrol; however, the team failed to qualify for the finals in Odense, dropping series to ATK and Singularity in the league's second stage.
The benching of ANDROID is a continuation of Envy's recent efforts to rebuild their roster, previously selling s0m to Gen.G and parting ways with coach Zachary "Eley" Stauffer and manager Taylor "Tailored" Broomall.
With the benching of ANDROID, Envy are now reduced to:
- Noah "Nifty" Francis
- Jacob "FugLy" Medina
- Ryan "ryann" Welsh
- Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor (Inactive)
Envy currently have no events ahead of them with the exception of ESL Pro League Season 11 Americas, which is set to begin a few months into the year.
