Mythic Cup 5 announced; eUnited, Singularity, Rugratz headline invites
Mythic have announced the fifth iteration of their online cup, returning again with a sixteen-team single-elimination format. This time around the prizepool has received a bump, increasing from $2,500 to $5,000 while the event is still set to run on a two-day format, being played out on January 4th-5th.
Another change has seen the number of open qualifier spots increased from two to four. As per usual, the open qualifier will run the day before the main event, on January 3rd. Interested teams can sign-up on the qualifier's FACEIT page.
The winner of Mythic Cup #4, Riot Squad, will not be making an appearance this time around however Mythic Cup #3 champion eUnited will be making their return to the event after missing out on the fourth iteration. They are joined by fellow EPL side Singularity, who will be participating in their first Mythic Cup.
Outside of eUnited and Singularity, a number of top MDL sides are represented, with Divine, New England Whalers, and Rugratz leading the charge.
