Complexity fall to Heroic on home soil
Complexity have gotten off to an unfortunate start at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, as the squad have been shipped down to the lower bracket as a result of a quick 2-0 victory by Major semifinalists Heroic. If Complexity wish to secure a showing in front of the home crowd, they will now have only one shot, with their elimination match tomorrow earning them a place on stage if they manage to survive.
The series kicked off on Complexity's pick of Inferno, where the team managed to get off to a solid start on their T-side. A pistol round victory, followed by a close anti-eco round win, allowed Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's men to take an early 4-0 lead. Heroic soon rallied however, and while Complexity were certainly able to keep things competitive, Heroic would take control of the half with a 9-6 scoreline. A pistol round win for Heroic in the second half propelled the Danes towards victory, with Complexity only scraping together a single CT round before falling 16-7 on their pick.
Following Inferno, the series moved to Heroic's pick of Nuke, where the North American's found themselves facing a particularly difficult T-side. Casper "cadiaN" Møller's men dominated in the first half, shutting down Complexity's defense with an early 7-1 lead. Complexity managed to snatch a few more rounds, but Heroic would still come into the second half with double digits, an 11-4 lead heading into the CT-side. A pistol round win allowed Complexity to move up to six rounds, but Heroic were unphased by this development, quickly closing out the game 16-6.
