missharvey rejoins CLG in new role
Eight months after her departure from the CLG Red roster, Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey has returned to the organization once again, this time in the newly-created position of Director of Esports Franchise Development & Outreach.
The goal of her new role is to promote "inclusivity-focused esports programming", as well as engage with the female esports community. Other duties include generating brand engagement and developing resources and methods to bring together members of the community.
missharvey is no stranger to the Counter-Strike scene, having played various iterations of the game since 2004. She was also a founding member of CLG Red, helping to claim a first place at the ESWC 2015 Women's competition with the team. The player also recently began coaching LiViD in MDL, with a member of the team telling Dust2.us that she will continue to do so for the time being.
CLG Red finished second at the $100,000 DreamHack Showdown Valencia in July, falling to Beşiktaş 2-1 in the grand finals and thus narrowly missing out on a spot at DreamHack Open Rotterdam. They more recently qualified for the WESG 2019 North America Regional Finals with a win over domestic rivals Dignitas fe, where they are ironically set to face missharvey's ANEW squad.
The team are also currently competing in ESEA Main, where they have qualified for playoffs with an 11-4 overall record. While awaiting the start of playoffs next week, CLG Red will continue to compete in the Invite division of WINNERS League Season 3, which is entering its third week of competition.
