Top highlights from Liquid win over Natus Vincere
Just earlier today Liquid managed to take down Natus Vincere who many expected to go 3-0 in the Legends Stage. The Americans' performance was spear-headed by Latvian star Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis, however, everyone on the team had their moments.
#1 YEKINDAR blows off s1mple's head
On the 10th round of Inferno, nitr0 boosts YEKINDAR over the wall on banana, surprising s1mple who was holding the wrong angle. A quick AK-47 bullet to the head and s1mple unable to react on time sees the round come apart for NAVI.
#2 YEKINDAR removes Perfecto and electronic in lineup
Early in on the map, with YEKINDAR still getting warmed up, Perfecto and electronic lined up perfectly for the Latvian to entry kill them on banana. Having jumpspotted electronic just prior, he was able to bait them both into a fight and open up the B-site for a clean round win.
#3 oSee defends the A-site to win the map
The 24th round was upon for both teams, with Liquid up 15 trying to close out the map. oSee was able to get a kill earlier in the round with his AWP, and with now 3 terrorists left on the NAVI side, their sights were set for the A bombsite. oSee was able to defend one kill from long, sending the other Ts to short. A quick rotate over to the site, and oSee cleaned up both incoming Ts from short, taking the map 16-8.
#4 EliGE millisecond defusal
On the 19th round, with Liquid on the CT-side, nitr0 and EliGE retook the B-site 3v3 with oSee also still alive. However, none of them had a defusal kit. With the bomb ticking down rapidly, EliGE jumped on the defuse for a full 10 seconds. It came down to milliseconds, with the bomb even playing the trigger sound, however, the defuse came in just on time, putting Liquid on the crucial 15 rounds.
#5 s1mple messes up the 1v1 clutch versus NAF
While being 5-0 up, Liquid came down to a very close round where a 1v1 clutch was set between NAF and s1mple on a planted bomb. As pointed out by the commentators, s1mple just had to stick the defusal and they would've won the round, however, he didn't and gave NAF a 1v1 duel which the Canadian cleanly won.
