Liquid and paiN qualification opponents revealed

The two Americas teams will have tough final matches tomorrow.

The final day of the Challengers Stage is upon us and the entire Americas region will be watching and praying that Liquid and paiN have the strength to battle through and secure wins against their final opponents to qualify for the Legends stage.

Tomorrow, Liquid will be facing off against Grayhound after their tragic loss to NIP while paiN have to play the Ukrainians from Monte. Both opponents have proven to be strong opponents in the event as underdogs.

Liquid are looking to come back from a devastating first day that saw them lose to Apeks and FORZE, both winnable matches that left American fans scratching their heads.

The team remarked that there was a loss of communication and individual mistakes which lead to the collapse, with positive signs first shown last night with a victory over Fluxo that was touch-and-go through to the end. Today, Liquid made sure that there was no doubt in their performance after a dominant 2-0 over Complexity which almost saw them claim the 4th ever 16-0 in Major history on Overpass.

As for paiN, while they started hot, they have struggled to maintain their dominance. Wins over Fluxo and Complexity have pushed them into the qualification position, but losses against FaZe and Apeks has left them wanting more. With the Brazilian squad looking to make their mark at the international level, tomorrow's game will mean everything to them and the organization.

What are the implications for the region tomorrow? Am I right in that assuming the major slot allocation remains the same for CS2, if they both make it tomorrow, we gain a slot; if they both lose, we lose a slot; if just one wins, no change?
