Team Brazil members for CS2 Showmatch revealed
ESL Brasil has announced the Brazil squad that will face off against the World in the Counter-Strike 2 match scheduled to play out before IEM Rio's Grand Final this Sunday.
With Dust2 Brasil reporting that Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo have already agreed to participate, it looks like the squad will be filled with Epitácio "TACO" Melo from 00 Nation and Felipe "insani" Yuji from MIBR. As a fifth member of the team, but not the fifth player, Brazilian caster, interviewer, and influencer Fillipe "BT" Moreno will join as the coach.
IEM Rio is heading into the playoffs stage and will once again be held at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, the same arena that just hosted the Major in November of last year. Fans will look to FURIA in the Quarter-Finals for hope that they can bring home their first trophy and do so in front of a home crowd.
This will be the second showmatch of Counter-Strike 2 that ESL will have produced, as they were able to host an incredibly early match during ESL Pro League Season 17 with a mix of professional players and casters.
Counter-Strike 2 was released on March 22, Valve announced Counter-Strike 2 through three separate videos which detailed the new features, new smoke mechanics, and map redesigns. The community has already been in a fervor searching game files for any hints as to what will come.
