weber is the latest Briton to link up with a North American squad

Riot Squad enlist weber as coach/analyst

After initially being spotted with Bad News Bears, weber has joined Riot Squad.

After working with the team in an unofficial capacity for a few months, British player Brandon "weber" Weber has officially joined Riot Squad as the team's coach and analyst, Dust2.us has learned.

weber initially became involved with the team all the way back in June, when they played under the name Bad News Bears and featured a vastly different roster. Since then, he has continued to help the squad in an unofficial capacity, and is now finally featured on the Riot Squad website – though an announcement has yet to materialize.

Before joining Riot Squad, weber had been teamless for the last ten months after his time with Endpoint came to an end. This will be weber's first coaching role after a nearly ten-year long playing career, during which he played alongside past British-North American  transplants Tramaine "stan1ey" Stanley and Ian "Immi" Harding on numerous occasions.

Dust2.us has also learned that weber will be at MSI Gaming Arena 2019 with Riot Squad in New York City, where he will have his first chance to coach them in person.

As such, Riot Squad are now:

  • United States Peter "ptr" Gurney
  • United States Austin "crashies" Roberts
  • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago
  • Canada Pujan "FNS" Mehta
  • Canada Jonathan "Jonji" Carey
  •  Brandon "weber" Weber (Coach/Analyst)
  • United States Jeff "RZU" Ngo (Inactive)

In other news, Dust2.us has also learned that former Riot Squad IGL Josh "shinobi" Abastado has been pegged to be Riot Squad Academy's head coach. The player was initially speculated to become the organization's General Manager.
