ESL Impact Season 3 NA starts today
The main competition for women's Counter-Strike starts today, on a symbolic date, as March 8th is International Women's Day. ESL Impact Season 3 North America will qualify two teams for the LAN stage, which will happen in Dallas.
The first round of games starts today, with two BO3s being played between byte and shimmer, and Detonate SparX and EG Gold.
The regional competition is separated into two stages, the group phase and playoffs. The group stage will see all teams from each group playing each other twice in best-of-3 series. The playoffs follow a single elimination bracket, with all games being BO3 as well.
The current stage has a prize pool of $9,000 and the top two teams will be qualified for ESL Impact Season 3 Finals, happening from June 2nd until June 4th, in Dallas, at the same time as IEM Dallas. The LAN final will have a prize pool of $123,000.

The first round will see byte and shimmer playing each other and Detonate SparX fighting against EG Gold, both games start at 07:30PM.
