Detonate sign all women's line-up
After a very strong debut in the scene, the Chimkin squad has now been signed with the Atlanta-based organization as Detonate SparX.
The signing was revealed by ESL Impact's official Twitter account, after a post with the games scheduled for today, where Detonate's logo and name can be seen as the EG Gold opposition.
Two days ago, the official Chimkin Twitter account tweeted out the classic "It's official" gif, indicating that the team had been signed by an organization but not revealing which one. The manager for Detonate, Kariann Tan, replied to the tweet but also did not reveal anything at that time.
The Chimkin squad entered the women's scene in early January after some players were left without a team. Since then, the team has been getting good results, winning two ESL Impact Cash Cups in a row, and finishing in second place in the most recent iteration of that competition. The team also managed to get invited to ESL Impact Season 3 North America, which starts today. Chimkin, now turned Detonate, will face Evil Geniuses Gold at 07:30PM.
With this new roster joining the group, Detonate has three squads, the main roster that participates in ESL Challenger League, the Academy team that plays ESEA Main, and now the women's roster that is currently on ESEA Open and ESL Impact Season 3.
The new Detonate women's squad is:
-
Julie "Bouchard" Bouchard
-
Joanne "sapphire" Tan
-
Megan "Kionetta" Kirkland
-
CJ "Chowdzz" Johnson
-
Andrea "Andrea" Bracewell
-
Austin "mesamiduck" Dardar (Coach)
