Dallas invites revealed, six Americas teams to feature

ESL have announced their invitees for Post-Major IEM Dallas, with Liquid, Complexity, FURIA, and Evil Geniuses being invited to the main event. FURIA, which will already be featuring in IEM Rio 2023, will now also play in IEM Dallas. For IEM Rio, not a single American team will feature as Liquid declined an invite and Complexity and Evil Geniuses both failed to qualify for the Brazilian event. Evil Geniuses have been invited to participate in IEM Dallas as a "Local Hero" invite.

Other top teams invited to the event include Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken's Faze, G2, and Heroic.

Evil Geniuses will have another shot at a big event before the first half of the 2023 season ends, having failed to qualify for the Major and already eliminated from ESL Pro League. Liquid, Complexity, and FURIA will likely have to travel back home immediately after their Major ends in Paris to play in the event and get some well deserved recuperation time before playing in from of their home region's fans.

There is one remaining ESL World Ranking Global invite available for Dallas which has not yet been sent out, despite the deadline for the invites being over a week ago.

Positively, there are two open qualifiers for the North American and South American regions, which could feature a multitude of deserving teams from the region. With Liquid, Complexity, FURIA, and Evil Geniuses already headed to IEM Dallas, there will be a total of six teams from the Americas region participating in the event.
